The goal of this project is to give the residents of Cova da Moura a face, free from prejudices. It shows the beauty that this special place and its tight-knit community have to offer because the residents are mostly unseen, and the lives they have built are threatened by possible demolition of the neighbourhood.

The project also aims to create awareness about the influence of colonial history in contemporary Western societies. The story of Cova da Moura is a representation of the comprehensive difficulties that exist among people with a (colonial) migration background in Western countries such as lack of housing, unequal opportunities, poor facilities, poverty, racism and police violence.
